Passing of Rev. V.T. Thompson
The 4th Episcopal District and the Mississippi South Region mourns the loss of an outstanding pastor, preacher, and presiding elder.  Rev. Vester Thompson was a great leader and loved by all in the Bassfield, Mississippi area and beyond. He served as presiding elder of the Gloster-Hattiesburg District for many years and pastored many churches in the region—Star Hill and Sharon CME churches in Gloster, MS; Blackmon Temple CME Church and Pleasant Grove CME Church and others. At the ripe age of 95, he continued to mentor, worship, and serve at his home church with Pastor Gerald Hudson at Holly Springs CME in Bassfield. His arrangements are as follows.
