Arrangements for Mrs. Wardna Polk

Dear CME Members, Missionaries and Friends:

We are saddened by the passing of Mrs. Wardna Polk who was a Christian servant, faithful missionary and loyal CME. Mrs. Polk served as the Secretary of Hunger and Meals for Millions of the Women's Missionary Council of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, and maintained the Missionary room at the CME Headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee where she also served as a receptionist. Mrs. Polk was a devout member of Greenwood CME Church in Memphis.

The Homegoing services for Mrs. Polk will be held tomorrow (Saturday, February 6, 2010) at 10:00 a.m., and the Viewing will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Greenwood CME Church, 3311 Kimball Avenue, Memphis, TN 38311. Telephone: 901-744-7531. The Rev. Dr. Travis Robinson is the pastor. Senior Bishop William H. Graves is the presiding prelate of the First Episcopal District.

Mrs. Polk requested that donations be made to the Polk Project at Greenwood CME Church in lieu of flowers. Please make checks payable to Greenwood CME and designate the Polk Project.
